We know what it feels like to be asked to lead without enough tools. We know what it feels like to learn leadership through trial, pressure, and responsibility. And we know too many educators are doing leadership work before they ever receive the preparation, coaching, or language they need to move forward with confidence. That is why we created The Principal’s Note.

Hajj Womack is an accomplished educator and leadership strategist whose career has focused on developing systems that strengthen school culture, improve student outcomes, and support educator growth. His work centers on helping educators align vision, strategy, and practice so they can communicate their leadership value, grow with purpose, and prepare for long-term success. Hajj brings a practical coaching lens to The Principal’s Note, helping educators move from scattered preparation to clearer leadership readiness.

He brings deep experience in coaching, leadership development, and building the kind of systems that support lasting school improvement.

Our mission is to help educators get to and through their next promotion so they can elevate schools that change lives. That mission is bigger than a resume. It is bigger than an interview. It is bigger than one course, one book, or one event.
At the heart of this work is a belief that strong school leadership changes outcomes for children, families, teachers, and communities. When leaders are better prepared, schools become stronger. When schools become stronger, students experience more opportunity, more care, and more possibility. The Principal’s Note exists to help build that kind of leadership.

What We Believe
The Principal’s Note is grounded in a few core beliefs that
guide everything we create.
Leadership is human work.
Schools are not machines. They are living communities filled with people, patterns, needs, hopes, pressure, and potential. Leaders must know how to listen, respond, coach, decide, and build trust.
The principal is the lead learner and the leader of learners.
Leadership is not about having every answer. It is about modeling growth, building systems, developing people, and creating the conditions where adults and students can thrive.
Every school should be built on systems, not guesswork; on coaching, not control.
Strong leadership requires tools, habits, reflection, and intentional practice. Guessing is too expensive. Control is too limited. Coaching builds people.
Educators deserve practical preparation, not generic encouragement.
“You got this” feels good, but it is not a preparation plan. Educators need research-based tools, language, practice, feedback, and strategy.
The credential may qualify you. Clarity helps you get chosen.
Many educators have the degree, certification, experience, and desire to lead. But readiness still has to be communicated clearly through evidence, relationships, application materials, and interviews.
